Our Shelter guests bid Old First “Adios,” on Wednesday morning the 31st. They will be staying at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Philadelphia for the rest of the summer. As you may know, the renovations at St. Mary’s were the cause of their extended stay at Old First.
We received a card from our guest and a thank you letter and donation from Bethesda Project. The letter reads in part,
“We are grateful to you and the entire congregation for your extended hospitality and partnership during the month of May, while St. Mary’s Church was unavailable to provide shelter. Thanks to your flexibility and generosity, we were able to prevent our guests from returning to the streets during this time.
We are proud to have Old First Reformed as a valued partner in the critical mission of serving those experiencing homelessness.
With sincere thanks, Tina Pagotto, Chief Executive Officer.”
