Can the UCC Congregations Work Together?

This Sunday, Oct. 26, the Philadelphia Association will be having its Fall Meeting at Glenside UCC.

If you are interested in learning more about other UCC churches or about the UCC as a whole, visiting settings beyond your local church — an Association or Conference meeting, or even a General Synod — can be a great start.

This Association meeting is titled: “Distinct and Diverse: United in Mission.” That refers to our member congregations, and time at the meeting will be dedicated to people from various congregations meeting together to consider how we might find ways to be united in mission service. An example that will be considered is how together we might be able to create a witness against or, at least, take some action to combat mass incarceration.

The meeting is this Sunday, October 26 at Glenside United Church of Christ, 2160 Wharton Rd. Glenside, PA 19038. (Cars will be leaving from Old First if you wish a ride.)

Registration begins at 2:30, and the meeting begins at 3. It will be over before dinner time; Glenside UCC is hosting a dinner for all the attendees afterwards.

If you wish to attend, please let the pastor know (you can do so even last minute, say after our morning worship service!)…
