Worship at 11 o’clock will be organized around “What It Means to be Holy?” based on Leviticus 19:1-2, 9-18 & Matthew 5:38-48. At 10 o’clock, during the Adult Forum, Michael will be talking about his experiences going to church while he was living in Nicaragua on sabbatical in 2007. Immediately following worship, there will be an informal Communion, open to all. People wishing to participate should move to the front of the sanctuary at the end of the service.
“Only God Is holy, just as only people are human. God’s holiness is Divine Goodness. To speak of anything else as holy is to say that it has something of God’s mark on it. Time, places, things and people can all be holy, and when they are, they are usually not hard to recognize.” (Frederick Beuchner)
