Sundays

Temporary Sunday Schedule

Currently, Old First is offering two services on Sunday mornings. We are worshiping in person, outdoors (weather permitting) each Sunday at 9 am. We are still observing COVID precautions, including wearing masks, social distancing, and no food or drinks. If you are not comfortable coming in person, we are also still offering online services at 11 am each Sunday.

When the Sanctuary renovation is complete, Old First will offer a hybrid service every Sunday, in which people can participate online or in-person.

Communion

Old First has an “open table,” welcoming all, including the youngest children, to participate in the gifts of bread and cup, and thereby God’s grace freely shared.

Old First celebrates Communion during our regular worship services about once per month, typically the first Sunday. For those among us who prefer to take communion more often, we also offer an intimate communion immediately following the regular service on the third Sunday of each month.

Old First uses grape juice, instead of wine, and gluten- and dairy-free bread, so that everyone can participate in the meal.

Sunday School

We offer Sunday School for ages 6 to 12 during the school year. Children may begin Sunday School at any time. Children attend the worship service with their families and then depart with the Sunday School teacher after the Time for Children. Please ask an usher if you have any questions.
