This coming Saturday, the Youth will gather at church at 5 p.m. and walk up to North Bowl in Northern Liberties to do what else — go bowling.
On a Saturday, bowling costs about $6. per game and $3. for shoe rental. We might bowl two games, depending on how many of us there are. Youth might also want to have some money for a snack…
We will check in with one another, and talk further about our plans to go on the Nicaragua Mission trip in June — what we have to do to get ready. (The parents will be meeting about the trip on the following Sunday morning, after worship.) This would be a good event to bring along any friends you have who might be interested in knowing more about or joining us on the trip to Nicaragua.
Also, we will decide if we want to attend the weekend retreat scheduled for Dec. 10-11 about how to be a Christian in a world of so many religions…
We should be back at church by about 8 p.m., but it seems to work best if you just notify your parents when you will be ready to be picked up or are heading home on public transportation.
