Last year, some of our youth practiced their Spanish at dinner and discovered Pastor Michael speaks fluently……in present tense. He was royally teased by some of the Spanish speaking guests and our youth and is a good sport (and quite fluent-lives in the present moment;).
Consider joining us this year…..it’s lots of fun! Each youth brings a portion of the meal with the assistance of parents and parents and other church members, please join us if you can. The more the merrier!
Dinner preparations begin at 6:15 and the meal occurs between 7 to 7:45pm.
Following the meal, we will head up to the Sanctuary and assist Alice Reyes and other “decorators” in getting the church ready for the Christmas season.
So far the menu includes:
- Michael’s famous ham
- 60’s green bean casserole (I promise, no tomato aspic, but the green bean casserole…still yummy, even if it’s 60’s fare. There has been much reminiscing about a previous generations’ recipes on Facebook over the past year–Wandika seems to have an abundance of these gems in her recipe box!)
- Mac ‘n cheese
- Cornbread
- Salad
- Dessert
