As we have entered into our early summer worship services, we have already been blessed with beautiful and meaningful June offerings from Old First family members Richard K., and Anna & Alexa S.
As we enter into July, I thought I would share the musical offerings coming up, so you can make a point to join us and be inspired by the eclectic tapestry of musical styles and artists, both from our Old First community, as well as treasured friends/colleagues of mine.
This Sunday will be a special treat from a guest artist and former student of mine, Dann P., singer/songwriter/guitarist, who will be sharing an original guitar piece entitled, Morning Hymn, as well as a sweet rendition of There is a Balm in Gilead. He will close the service leading us all in the rousing and uplifting Spiritual, We Shall Not Be Moved.
Next week, on July 14th, our interim organist, Andrew Monath, will be at the organ, and he and Holly are preparing two organ/piano duets to share.
We will close out July with guitar music from Griffin D. on July 21st and a special duet shared by Julie S. & Emily P. on July 28th.
